Collaborations

Collaborations vary in scope from simple email or verbal exchange to contracted Institutional or Public-Private collaborations. Collaborations may also take place within the university in the form of Multidisciplinary collaborations. Global Risk and Security evaluates collaborations and coordinates with each campus' responsible department based on the level of involvement and affected grants.

Collaborative Research

Collaborative research typically involves two or more researchers, either within the same institution or across different institutions, working together in the same or different scientific fields or sectors of the economy. The goal is to combine complementary skills, resources, and perspectives to advance scientific progress.

The Office of International Affairs, KUCR, and the Research Administration on the Lawrence and Medical Center campuses, respectively, are the responsible departments for intake of requests for these collaborations. Global Risk and Security is a partner in the approval process.
